Jim Wynorski basically remakes the original from scratch.
While Wilma is trying to cash a fake check, bank robber Fred Diller Tom Skerritt and his gang bust in and rob the place.
In Big Bad Mama Skerritt is holed up in a barn, blasting away at the police.
Nami at the wheel with her assistant Momoka riding shotgun Nami is the daughter of the late Toraichiro Saito, a legendary and beloved driver who left her saddled with his debts.
The only thing commendable about this version is that it discards the slow-motion shots in favor of showing the blood baths in real time and sparing the two daughters from injury.
Brisebois is fine playing the tough daughter while McCullough is awfully cute as the good girl.
The final conflict is especially amazing, as the apparently-immortal McClatchies take on the entire police force! No dangly bits are shown, but there was a moment there where I was sure we were going to see full tackle.
Oh, well what can you do.
